The Under-19 Cricket World Cup held during Jan 14-Feb 5 in Antigua and Barbuda was won by India, which defeated England in the finals by four wickets and lifted the trophy for the fifth time.

The Indian Consul to the Caribbean nation, Vijay Tewani presented the winning team with a memento . In addition, mementos were also presented to the island’s Prime Minister Gaston Browne and to other ministers by the Indian government to show appreciation for hosting the tournament. The two countries pledged to collaborate more in the field of sports and other sectors.

Tewani also gifted a fountain as a part of the beautification of the official residence of the Governor General Rodney Williams.
